We decided to write our last blogpost of 2012 about our favorite video of this year.
Here are our choices:
Axel: I chose 'Remains of a River'. This video doesn't only decsribe what's going on with the rivers in the world, pollution and dams. But also gives the beauty that is still left on this planet. If you haven't seen it yet, do it now!
Bram: Souls + Water series by NRS really moved me this year. They had amazing and inspiring videos. My favorite of this series is 'The Nomad'. Erik Boomer tells his story..

Study break: Norge whitewater paradise
Just finished watching this new edit from the Serrasolses Bros as a study break. A lot of sick footage, definitely worth looking! This video shows how amazing Norway is as country and especially the whitewater.
We are planning a visit this summer, so i'll be dreaming of that while studying.

Study progress
Started two days with studying and already we
are two days behind on our study scheme! Couldn’t help it, the Belgian
rivers were flooded, so we went kayaking instead of studying. Had an awesome
weekend with lots of paddling!
Tomorrow we really need to start studying and we
have some good news!! The final results of the 2012 short film of the year
awards are out! Perfect timing for us! You can find the 6 best short films
here: http://www.kayaksession.com/best-short-film-awards-2012.php
Six DOPE edits witch you guys should really
watch! But the honor of winning this prestigious price goes to the film Unknown

End of the world
It’s that time of the year again, examination period..
6 weeks off complete isolation. Obliged to study 8-10 hours a day, paddling
becomes pretty impossible. Sitting more hours after a desk then in our boat we
will be suffering from paranoia. All the upcoming tweets or blogposts will
therefor be irrational, dumb or absent.
Luckily we have 2 things that do
help us through: a laptop and Internet that provides us with tons of kayak
videos! These videos let us dream away and guide us through the harshest time
of life! Also they save us from insanity.
Of course we still are kayakers,
sow when there is water we will try everything to get our ass in our boat! Unfortunately
for our study efficiency our exam-period falls together with the period Belgian
rivers are high on water.
As you can see this is not only a
period of extreme isolation, but also a period of hard choices. We certainly
hope we find a perfect balance sow we don’t find ourselves ending up with mad
parents (if school failed) or in a madhouse (no kayak = we go crazy).
And ow, earlier on I said all tweets
or blogposts will be irrational, dumb or absent. But of course there’s a
fourth possibility: we share all (or some off) the kayak videos witch helped
saving our lives providing you guys a library of worlds best kayak videos,
movies, episodes and more!
Kick-off: some history, The Ottawa River!

Have you met..?
I just realized we never introduced ourselves. Therefore I write this blog. As you know we are Peeters/Sleebus, in our slalom C2. But we do paddle separately sometimes. Last weekend we did, for example, and here's some footage of it! Bram Peeters and Axel Sleebus trying out some freestyle moves!
